4-14-25   THOUGHTS    

We have several passage areas this morning that contemplate OWNERSHIP!  True FREEDOM can only be ours when we master this issue.    Gal 2:20  "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the [life] which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”  Php 1:20–21   “according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.  21  For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”

Rom  14:7-9      For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself;  8  for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. 9  For to this end Christ died and lived again, that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.
1Cor 6:19-20    Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?   20  For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.
Titus 2:14  who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.
1Pet  4:2  so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

My Prayer:
Father, help us to live for You with Christ Jesus at our helm.  Help us to know the joy of a dedicated effort to abide in Your presence.  May we ever see Jesus as the purchase price of our belonging to You!  Help us to own the idea of Christ as our Lord.  Open our hearts and mouths, O Lord, to the presentation of Jesus to this world.  Help us to remember  that You don’t want any to perish.  In the name of our Savior,   Amen.
